GCWR: Gross Combined Weight Rating, the combined truck and trailer weight for which your truck is rated.

GTWR: Gross Trailer Weight Rating, is the amount of weight that your trailer can safely handle. It’s a combination of the weight of the cargo along with the trailer. This GTWR is viewable on a tag near the tongue of the trailer or on one of your wheel wells.

Payload: This is what your truck bed can safely hold. The payload for the 2019 RAM 1500 ranges from 1,180 to 2,320 pounds.

Towing Capacity: This is what you can pull behind you. For the RAM 1500, it can tow between 6,640 and 12,750 pounds.
