Technical Specifications

The 2023 RAM 1500 Classic derives its design from the DS generation of RAM trucks, including body style and parts, and is the only model of RAM truck to retain this design. It has three trims: Tradesman, Express, and Warlock.

Regardless of trim, the default engine for this new RAM truck is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® six-cylinder engine that makes 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. You can also choose the 5.7-liter HEMI® eight-cylinder engine. All trims can support either real-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

Though this truck has three cab options (regular, quad, and crew), only the Tradesman trim is compatible with all three.

Standard Features and Customization

Each trim of the 2023 RAM 1500 Classic can support multiple package options, to enhance their utility and comfort.

You can add the electronics package onto the Tradesman trim, for instance, which equips the cab with a larger, 8.4-inch infotainment display, when compared to the default five-inch one. It also supplements the standard Bluetooth with Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and Sirius XM compatibility.

The Express trim builds on the Tradesman by expanding the features available in its packages. Alongside the Black 1500 Express group, which changes the external aesthetics and implements the electronics packages’ features, the Express Value package includes remote keyless entry.

The Warlock trim is the most stylish and luxurious of the trims, with exclusive external accents and RAM lettering in its grill. Its standard interior contains cloth seats, with a higher quality material available as an add-on. The Warlock trim is also the only trim with standard rear parking sensors that alert drivers to obstacles while backing into parking spaces.
