The Dodge Challenger has long been a popular option for muscle car lovers and the new 2022 model year doesn’t disappoint on that front. Here’s the latest from your California Dodge Challenger dealer.

Trim Levels

Five trim levels are available for the new model year, while a separate Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is also on offer. The classic Challenger trims are as follows:

  • SXT
  • GT
  • R/T
  • R/T Scat Pack
  • R/T Scat Pack Widebody

Engine Options

The Dodge Challenger stands out in many ways. It’s the only two-door muscle car that offers all-wheel drive, for starters.

Base models are powered by a V6 engine that makes 305 horsepower, and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

R/T models come with an upgrade to one of two Hemi V8 engines: a 375-horsepower 5.7-liter engine, or a 6.4-liter version that makes a whopping 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. Drivers looking for serious power will definitely want to spring for the Hemi experience.

Challenger SRT Jailbreak Models

A newly announced Jailbreak option package for 2022 sets its sights on unlocking combinations and configurations that were previously restricted, according to the automaker. The models are specific to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody models.

New interior and exterior design selections include:

  • Seven options for seats, stripes, and wheels
  • Six brake caliper color choices
  • Five exterior badging finishes
  • Four options for seatbelt colors, steering wheels, and floor mats

The new package also recalibrates the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, adding 10 horsepower to the already sky-high power of the SRT Hellcat model for a total of 807 horses.
